Hospital Members

The HDIRS initiative grew out of the Toronto East Network (TEN), ten hospital corporations that came together to identify common opportunities between them. These original members were:

TEN initiated a picture archiving and communication system and digital imaging repository project which was supported and funded by Canada  Health Infoway and the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. Due to the success of the project planning process, an additional 13 hospital corporations joined the membership. They were:

Independent Health Facility Clients

In 2012, eHealth Ontario initiated a province-wide initiative to integrate Independent Health Facilities (IHFs) to the provincial DIR infrastructure.  HDIRS integrated the following organizations in 2012/2013, which together represent over 30 individual IHF locations:
